Si è svolta ieri, 5 febbraio, alla Crypto.com Arena di Los Angeles (ex Staples Center), la cerimonia che ha decretato tutti i vincitori dei 65th GRAMMY Awards.
L’edizione 2023 ha visto premiati innanzitutto Harry Styles, Beyoncé, Lizzo e Kendrick Lamar. Styles si è aggiudicato l’ambìto Album Of The Year con Harry’s House, mentre Beyoncé ha ottenuto quelli di categoria in ambito dance con Renaissance, diventando l’artista con più riconoscimenti ottenuti ai Grammy.
Lamar, prevedibilmente, ha dominato la sezione rap e hip hop (sia per The Heart Part 5, ovvero il pezzo che ha introdotto – senza comparirvi – il suo ultimo lavoro, sia per lo stesso LP Mr. Morale & the Big Steppers). Senza particolari sorprese, infine, la vittoria di Lizzo, che si è portata a casa il prestigioso Song of the Year con About Damn Time.
Måneskin a mani vuote nella categoria Best New Artist, dove ha vinto la 23enne cantante statunitense di estrazione jazz Samara Joy. Colpaccio invece per le Wet Leg, che portano a casa il grammofono sia per l’omonimo debut nella sezione Best Alternative Music Album, sia per il singolo Chaise Lounge in quella relativa alla Best Alternative Music Performance. Nessun premio dunque per Arctic Monkeys, Arcade Fire e Björk. Ma neppure per i Red Hot Chili Peppers, ai quali viene preferita Brandi Carlile (Broken Horses è Best Rock Song) e gli IDLES, che cedono il Grammy a Ozzy Osbourne che porta a casa il premio per l’album Patient Number 9 ma anche quello per la miglior performance metal con Degradation Rules assieme a Tony Iommi.
Chiaramente a Bad Bunny e al suo Un Verano Sin Ti va il Best Música Urbana Album. E Taylor Swift si è dovuta accontentare del Best Music Video per il singolo All Too Well, anche in lizza nella categoria più ambita, il Song of the year.
Peccato infine per molti dei nominati per la migliore soundrack, in cui non potevano mancare i due compositori Michael Giacchino (per The Batman) e il “solito” Hans Zimmer (l’ultimo Bond No Time to Die). Meritata la nomination per Jonny Greenwood, che con The Power of the Dog ha fatto senz’altro un ottimo lavoro e avrebbe meritato di vincere. Ma nessuno ha ottenuto alcunché. A portare a casa il premio è stato invece Germaine Franco per Encanto.
