A qualche mese dalla pubblicazione del terzo album Savage Hills Ballroom, recensito su queste pagine da Fernando Rennis, Youth Lagoon ovvero Trevor Powers ha annunciato tramite un tweet sulla propria bacheca di voler chiudere il progetto in quanto «non c’è nulla rimasto da dire attraverso Youth Lagoon».
