La scorsa notte, nel corso di un concerto a Londra di Africa Express, organizzazione non-profit di base nel Regno Unito fondata da Damon Albarn e altri musicisti sulla falsariga del Live 8, il cantautore britannico è stato raggiunto sul palco da Dave Rowntree, Alex James e Graham Coxon. I Blur, così riformati, hanno eseguito Tender, Clover Over Dover (per la prima volta dal vivo) e Song 2; ad accompagnare l’esibizione della band (in Tender) c’era anche il London Community Gospel Choir e Rokia Traoré. Africa Express è uscita, lo scorso 22 marzo, con un nuovo EP intitolato Molo. Tra i partecipanti, Albarn, Gruff Rhys, Nick Zinner, Blue May, Georgia, Ghetts, Mr Jukes, Remi Kabaka, Otim Alpha e Poté, al lavoro con i musicisti sudafricani Sho Madjozi, BCUC, Blk Jks, Infamous Boiz, Moonchild Sanelly, Muzi, Morena Leraba, Radio 123, Zolani Mahola (Freshly Ground) e Phuzekhemisi.
