Laurie Anderson porta in Italia la tournée legata a Let X = X, performance tra teatro d’avanguardia, narrazione e pop music che la vedrà sul palco assieme alla band Sexmob e alla formazione jazz guidata da Steven Bernstein.
L’unico appuntamento italiano dello show è fissato per il 7 giugno al Palazzo Mauro De Andrè, all’interno della prima giornata del Ravenna Festival 2023. La prevendita è già attiva presso la biglietteria di Ravenna Festival (Teatro Alighieri), il circuito Vivaticket e il sito ufficiale dell’evento. Il costo dei biglietti varia da 35 a 22 euro a seconda del settore scelto (I o II).
Lo show prende il nome e si sviluppa attorno all’omonimo brano di Laurie Anderson contenuto nel classico Big Science pubblicato il 1 gennaio 1982 e recensito su queste pagine da Teresa Greco. Il brano, uno dei più accessibili del disco, racchiude le caratteristiche fondanti del disco, lo humor assurdo, l’esplorazione dei significanti e significati del linguaggio, il minimalismo tra Steve Reich e Robert Ashley, il vocoder a distorcere la voce.
