Nello store di Young God Records è disponibile per l’acquisto The egg: stories by Michael Gira, libro scritto dal leader degli Swans che contiene anche illustrazioni di Nicole Boitos e che viene venduto con un CD in allegato con alcune delle storie lette direttamente dalla voce di Gira. Il testo è stato assemblato a mano ed esce in edizione limitata a 2.500 copie autografate. «Queste storie sono state scritte nel corso dell’ultimo anno», ha dichiarato l’autore, «sono i residui accumulati, lucidati e organizzati di una mente che mangia se stessa. Il libro è un lavoro di fantasia. Non tollera somiglianze, intenzionali o meno, con nient’altro che se stesso».
