Dopo il primo estratto, Opening Night dei Arctic Monkeys, è stato pubblicato in queste ore un nuovo brano dall’album HELP(2), la compilation benefica ideata da War Child UK e ispirata alla storica raccolta HELP del 1995, realizzata per raccogliere fondi a favore dei bambini colpiti dalle guerre.
Il secondo estratto si intitola Flags – testo su Genius – ed è il risultato di un’inedita collaborazione tra Damon Albarn, Grian Chatten (voce dei Fontaines D.C.) e Kae Tempest. Il brano è stato registrato con la partecipazione di musicisti come Johnny Marr, Dave Okumu, Adrian Utley (Portishead), Seye Adelekan (Gorillaz) e Femi Koleoso (Ezra Collective), oltre a un coro di 43 bambini.
Alle voci si affiancano contributi di artisti come Jarvis Cocker, Carl Barat (The Libertines), Declan McKenna, Marika Hackman, Rosa Walton (Let’s Eat Grandma), English Teacher, Black Country, New Road e Nadia Kadek, mentre la produzione è stata curata da Albarn insieme a James Ford, Marta Salogni e Toby L.
Come accaduto per il primo singolo, anche Flags è stato registrato durante le sessioni di studio agli storici Abbey Road Studios, nell’arco di una sola settimana nel novembre 2025 sotto la guida del produttore James Ford.
L’uscita di HELP(2) è confermata per il 6 marzo 2026 via War Child Records, con i pre‑order già aperti. Tutti i proventi dell’album saranno devoluti al sostegno dei bambini colpiti dai conflitti nel mondo.
