BBE Music e 180 Proof Records pubblicheranno il prossimo 2 novembre Jazz in Detroit / Strata Concert Gallery / 46 Selden, live album che testimonia la residency che Charles Mingus tenne nel 1973 alla Strata Concert Gallery di Detroit. La band del contrabbassista americano contava in quel momento il batterista Roy Brooks, la tromba di Joe Gardner, il pianista Don Pullen e il sassofonista John Stubblefield; la performance venne trasmessa in diretta da Robert “Bud” Spangler per WDET FM, una radio pubblica dedicata al jazz.
Jazz in Detroit / Strata Concert Gallery / 46 Selden uscirà in due edizioni, una composta da cinque dischi in vinile e una suddivisa in cinque CD, oltre che in formato digitale.
