Adesso, sempre in anteprima esclusiva per Sentireascoltare, quello dell’album d’esordio del trio OKE’, composto dallo stesso Katzuma (elettroniche e produzione), da William Simone (percussioni elettroniche) e Andrea Calì (piano elettrico e synth), sempre pubblicato da Queenspectra.
Nelle cinque tracce di Tree of Life – più il remix di quella incipitaria, firmato HDADD – ascoltiamo un jazz elettronico psichedelico e a pennellata fine, una fusion siderale stilizzata, in silhouette, eppure verace, senza arzigogoli o mollagini, coerentissima con il percorso della label guidata da Uxo/Marco Acquaviva (impegnato anche sul master).
Sentiamo la lezione del Miles Davis elettrico, tanto di quello sibillino e mesmerico di In a Silent Way, quanto di quella del lussureggiante e madido Bitches Brew. Il retrogusto avant, improvvisativo e laboratoriale, invece non è lontanissimo da quella capacità di giocosa strutturazione dei materiali sonori che fu, tra gli altri, del Gruppo di Improvvisazione Nuova Consonanza.

OKE’ is a the collective effort of three kindred spirits who enjoy astral traveling, and following their own pineal glands, or perhaps telepathy, accidentally collided planet QS. They like to describe their output as an eruption: it’s the fire of creation that tries to reach the sky and every gram of its magma fell on the ground it’s pure fertility. If the mountain is the trunk its fountain of fire draws the missing part of their plan: a tree of life whose branches, leaves and fruits connect the earth to the sky. Their music is the expression of inner worlds: the thin membrane which wraps their spirits is a sonic halo through which you can embrace their experience made of pure emotions expressed on the thin line that crosses the Cosmic Chaos to lead toward the Supreme Order. Oke’ is the Knowledge of the Heights through Elevation and Wisdom.
