Mentre gli Swans sembrano essere al lavoro sul successore di The Seer, dopo aver pubblicato a ottobre il live Not Here/Not Now, la 1972 Records ha annunciato che il 4 marzo 2014 farà uscire in vinile The Burning World, album rilasciato dalla band nel 1989. Di recente il lavoro è stato ristampato in versione CD da Water Records. L’album non è tra i preferiti di Michael Gira, che ha dichiarato: “è un disco che aborro totalmente“. Il leader della formazione statunitense è atteso a marzo in Italia per un breve tour.
