Dopo un’edizione 2023 senza cerimonia per via dello scoppio della guerra tra Israele e Gaza, tornano gli MTV EMA, edizione europea dei VMAs. Anche quest’anno – senza sorprese – è Taylor Swift la favorita, con ben sette nomination, tra cui spiccano le categorie “Best Artist”, “Best Video”, “Best Pop” e “Biggest Fans”. Subito dopo di lei, con cinque candidature ciascuna, ci sono Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Charli XCX e Sabrina Carpenter, che concorrono per premi come “Best Song”, “Best Video” e “Best Artist”.
Tra i nominati troviamo anche Ayra Starr, Beyoncé, Kendrick Lamar, LISA, Chappell Roan e Tyla, tutti con quattro nomination. Quest’anno, per la prima volta, sia Chappell Roan che Tyla sono in gara agli EMAs. Nella categoria “Best Italian Act”, saranno Angelina Mango, Annalisa, Ghali, Mahmood e The Kolors a contendersi il titolo. La cerimonia si terrà il 10 novembre 2024 alla Co-op Live Arena di Manchester.
