Dopo aver avviato una campagna Kickstarter per la sua realizzazione, Linda Perhacs ha deciso di cancellare il finanziamento tramite crowdfunding per procedere in altro modo alla pubblicazione del suo terzo lavoro. La scelta arriva a qualche giorno dalla condivisione del brano Eclipse of All Love con il feat. di Pat Sansone.
Successore di Soul of All Natural Things e dell’esordio del 1970 Parallelograms, il disco è stato annunciato con la co-produzione dello stesso Sansone e di Fernando Perdomo dei Wilco. Tra gli altri ospiti annunciati finora figurano Julia Holter e Devendra Banhart. Eclipse of All Love è il secondo estratto dopo The Dancer, traccia condivisa via Bandcamp lo scorso mese. Di seguito il messaggio originale della Perhacs che promette comunque che «there will be a new album coming your way this year» e di seguirla sulla pagina ufficiale Facebook per gli aggiornamenti del caso.
«Hello Everyone,
To each and every backer – thank you. Your support means the world to me, it’s been wonderful to see so many people, artists and fans, come together in support of my new album.
I’ve been hard at work with so many brilliant collaborators to make this record something special. Along with my team, I’ve decided to take a different approach on how we release this album out into the world, and as such I am canceling the Kickstarter campaign today, so no money will change hands and you don’t have to worry about updating your pledge or taking any action.
I know you might be disappointed that we won’t be delivering the Kickstarter rewards, but here’s the good news: there will be a new album coming your way this year, and I will be sure to keep you updated on news as it comes.
