I fan di Liam Gallagher hanno dovuto attendere lo scoccare della mezzanotte tra il 3 e il 4 febbraio 2022 per ascoltare il nuovo singolo Everything’s Electric. Il brano, già disponibile in tutti gli store e servizi digitali di streaming, arriva dopo ben 14 mesi dall’uscita di All You’re dreaming of. Il singolo è un’anteprima del terzo album da solista dell’ex Oasis, C’mon You Know, uno dei dischi più attesi del 2022.
Liam è ancora una star del rock’n’roll e lo vuole dimostrare con questa canzone molto ritmata, dalle chitarre elettriche distorte e un ritornello fatto per essere cantato dalle grandi folle. Si sente anche l’influenza della collaborazione con Dave Grohl dei Foo Fighters, di cui SA vi aveva già parlato in questo articolo.
Everything’s Electric è un sequel del brano She’s Electric degli Oasis? Non proprio, ma la voce è rimasta la stessa, ben riconoscibile, mentre canta «I don’t hate you, But I despise that feeling». Un altro messaggio per il fratello Noel forse, visto che tra i due non scorre buon sangue da ormai troppi anni.
