Hello everyone. Today I’m psyched to announce a tour and a live record. I’ve always wanted to do a live record, and this is my first. I haven’t always wanted to tour, and this isn’t my first, but I am particularly psyched on this tour because I find myself in the unfamiliar position of really, really wanting to play my songs. Somewhere. Probably anywhere. For the last 10 months I’ve been writing a batch of new songs…I play all of the instruments myself now…and pretty soon I’m gonna break them out with my rockin' band. They’re pretty damned exciting (the songs…and the band too).Lastly, we recorded my three NYC shows a few months back, and we are going to release one of them on vinyl in partnership with Vinyl Me, Please. We got very lucky at the Music Hall of Williamsburg one night—I really think the performances we captured are the band’s best to date.
