MEGAM!!!X VOL 1 : SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE

In uscita il 28 marzo 2018 via Warp Records, MEGAM!!!X VOL 1 : SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE è un mixtape dei !!!. Registrato nel corso degli ultimi due anni, il progetto raccoglie una serie di inediti della band rivisitati in chiave dance. A proposito del disco la band ha dichiarato: «abbiamo voluto creare un album da dj ma con materiale nostro. Volevamo un disco che potesse essere utilizzato per far festa, a colazione al mattino, da ascoltare mentre si pulisce casa, si guida o si faccia qualsiasi altra cosa».

Di seguito il comunicato completo, e in lingua originale, rilasciato dal frontman Nic Offer: «One of our biggest inspirations has long been club music. i guess we view our angle on things as trying to write club music that you can listen to in other places than the dancefloor. Club music is usually more forward thinking and often where changes in music happen first, thus it’s been very inspirational to our writing for many years now. it was only a matter of time before we attempted to make a more club-type record, and this mix is the first thing like it we’re sharing with the world. we were especially inspired by other artists who had made mixes of only their own material (ricardo villalobos, omar-s, galcher lustwerk, etc) and decided to try our own. there are several moody, funked out, smoked out, vibed out tracks featuring singers Lea Lea, Meah Pace, Cameron Mesirow, and a legendary youtube tutorial by late great drummer Yogi Horton. We mixed it all together in ableton over bluetooth speakers from the balcony on the 20 something-th floor of a hotel in a spanish beachside town. we view it as something of a companion record to Shake the Shudder and the first in a series of mixes that we hope to do like this in the future»
