In uscita il 23 febbraio 2018 via Thrill Jockey (l’etichetta che li accompagna dal 2005), The Skull Defekts è l’omonimo album che segna la conclusione del progetto scandinavo. Con con Jean-Louis Hunta e Daniel Higgs sempre meno presenti in fase compositiva, il leader Joachim Nordwall presenta così alla stampa il capitolo finale della formazione. Ospite Mariam Wallentin, già Mariam The Believer e Fire! Orchestra.
